A great location. Despite being upgraded to one of the premier suites Ian Woosnam we were rather disappointed. The general ambience is "tired and outdated ". We thought that heavy blankets were from a bygone era. Bathroom was tatty with loose toilet handle and peeling silicone sealant around the basin. Towels and pillows were tired and worn out for an establishment wanting to be near the top of the tree. On our journey along the Wild Atlantic Way we stayed in 9 B and B guest houses and this was the poorest breakfast we had.

The 19th Lodge was the highlight of our trip to Ireland. Mary and James are wonderful hosts and made us feel so welcome and comfortable. We stayed in the Ian Woosnam suite and it was lovely and spacious with a great view of the Ballybunion Cashen course. Mary arranged transportation for us and made dinner reservations as well. Breakfast was wonderful, our daughter especially loved Mary's Pancakes. We can't wait to return for a second visit! Terry, Jeff & Danielle Brouillette, June 2016

If you're staying at Ballybunion - the 19th Lodge is the BEST! James and Mary made us feel absolutely at home. The accommodations are very comfortable - spacious rooms with spacious bathrooms. The breakfast was outstanding - must try their Irish Pancakes! We had an early tee time at Ballybunion - which was great because it was ~500m down the road. All around wonderful stay.

We arrived at this wonderful lodge right at the golf course late in the evening end of June 2015. The owners Mary and her husband welcomed us all with great smile and warmth. The rooms and setting are perfect of course. We had to leave very early in the morning at about dawn after two nights, and the owners prepared breakfast for us even if it was before their normal work hours. We would go back to this 19th lodge anytime.

The 19th Lodge is a truly unique and special place built through the hard work of the Beasley Family of Kerry, Ireland. Our room St. Andrews was very nice, comfortable and clean. Our breakfast was very good - even my picky 4-year-old cleaned his plate! The price was great for the level of accommodation. Most important are the hosts, Mary and James, who do an outstanding job managing the place and ensuring their guests are happy. I would highly recommend this place for anyone visiting Kerry, especially those playing Ballybunion.

We have returned to this cozy B & B three times. It's our favorite one in Ireland. Mary and James Beasley embody the welcoming spirit of the Irish -- they are warm, humorous, and will do whatever is needed to accommodate guests. They made all the arrangements for golf, caddies, and restaurants, and recommended sight-seeing in the area. The rooms at their B & B are spacious and airy, and the breakfast room is beautiful with views of the Cashen course and Ballybunion clubhouse. The best part of any stay is being with the delightful Beasleys.Their inn reflects their commitment to Irish hospitality.

The 19th Lodge is wonderful place to stay. The rooms were specious and quiet, the location is ideal, the hospitality is unmatched, and the breakfast was delightful. I have stayed in Ballybunion four times, and the 19th Lodge is the only place I would stay. It is nothing short of a great accommodation, and one with which you would have been glad to have booked. If you're staying in Ballybunion, don't waste time searching elsewhere, you'll love the 19th Lodge

I must say - driving up to the hotel I was a bit nervous. The outside seemed a "normal" hotel. Step inside finds anything but. James can't do enough to please - "let me help you with your luggage". "What time is your golf, I will get you something prior to your tee time." Etc etc. He is devoted and enthusiastic. Breakfast was tasty with salmon, eggs and much much more. Newly renovated rooms with down pillows & jacuzzi tubs, the old school ambience has been preserved. A perfect 5

19th Lodge is like visiting family. Mary and James are the nicest people you will ever meet and they run a first class establishment. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and spacious. Breakfast is always good. They just upgraded wi-fi and it now works great, so the only thing that I found less than perfect in the past is no longer an issue. I have stayed with Mary and James on three occasions now, one trip per year, and after the first one, staying at 19th Lodge has been one thing that I built my vacation around.

I could not recommend the 19th Lodge more. Mary and James Beasley were extremely accommodating and hospitipal. The rooms were spacious and clean and James even had the hot blanket turned on in our beds in anticipation of our arrival. We will definitely be returning

Words are hardly adequate. This place is fantastic. Suites are spacious and well laid out. The bathrooms are magnificent - the shower was the best I have ever experienced. Breakfast was delicious. Above all, Mary and James are the most warm-hearted hosts you could hope for. They have years of taking great care of their guests, and it shows. This place deserves six stars. Room Tip: Woosnam suite is terrific.

James and Mary at the 19th Lodge were very hospitable. The rooms were large and impeccably clean well in line with a 5-star B&B. You're made to feel right at home. Kudos to both James and Mary!

A group of eight golfers, we stayed 2 nights in May with Mary and James @The 19th Lodge. It was great in every respect. As excellent as the accommodations were they were outshone by the tremendous care the Beasley's take of you. There is no better place for a golfer to find refuge in Ballybunion!

We stayed here for 2 nights during the Listowel races. The guest house was very relaxing and comfortable. The bedrooms were big and spotlessly clean. Mary and James were very welcoming and friendly and could not do enough for us The view from the breakfast room overlooks the golf course, nice view first thing in the morning. Having checked other places around, it is definitely the best place to stay in Ballybunion. We will definitely be back again. Liz

Great location, great night and wonderful people. Stayed one night at the 19th lodge and everything was better than we hoped, Mary had all of our rooms set up, accommodations were first rate, and knowing we were behind schedule had made reservations for us at the best restaurant in town. She took great care of us when we returned just a little late and feeling no pain - but, for the record, we did all make the 7 am tee time. Highly recommend the 19th Lodge to anyone going to Ballybunion, we will definitely be staying here again.

When we arrived at the 19th lodge we were given the warmest welcome imaginable. Mary and James are the nicest people around and really made us feel at home. The rooms were spotless and very comfortable. Mary and James made sure that our every needs were taken care of. My brother and two of my friends took a trip golfing all around the southwest coast of Ireland for about a week and all I can say is that this was by FAR the best accommodation we stayed at. When in Ballybunion look no further than the 19th lodge!

WE just visited the 19th Lodge for the 2nd time. We will continue to go back for several reasons. Mary and James are just the most helpful and perfect hosts! After our rugged round of golf at Ballybunion, we enjoy heading back to our immaculate room to rest. The Lodge is a 4 minute walk to the golf course. We start off the day with a delicious Irish breakfast in a beautiful dining room. My husband always gets the full irish breakfast while i prefer Mary's pancakes! In the evening we enjoy sitting in the living area and sharing stories with both Mary and James. We have been to Ballybunion several times and this is our favorite place to stay!
