I wish there was something higher than 5 stars! Patricia and Garrett were the perfect hosts - which was no easy task, as we had a party of 13! I can't think of one thing I would change - friendly hosts, beautiful garden, a castle down the street, and oh yes the food is excellent! You will not regret staying here. My second time there. Wonderful hospitality. Delicious breakfast, and dinner if you want it. Beautiful grounds. Short walk to the River Shannon, short drive to the small village of Ballylongford, past the 400-year-old British-damaged castle. History swirls around.James Herbert Smith - United States (September, 2018)
The hosts are delightful. The rooms are clean. The breakfast and dinner were both delicious. There's a quaint little pub in town O'Connell's that us a neat place for a pint. The owner is a descendant of the Castle family. I would recommend this B&BKathy & Neal Gaff - United States (August, 2018)

We had a wonderful brief stay here on our trip around Ireland. The location was just lovely send when we left in the morning we were suggested to go and have a look at the castle and it was the best castle to go through and explore. The breakfast the next morning was also wonderfulChris - Australia (July, 2015)
Castle View was my favorite B&B! The views were outstanding, our room was lovely, and Pat and Garrett were delightful hosts. We ate dinner with them as well - delicious - and it was very convenient not to have to go back out to find a place to dine.We toured the castle, took lots of pics both from the B&B and the tower, and enjoyed our stay immensely.Linda - United States (July, 2015)

We had a very pleasant stay here. The owners made us feel very welcome and provided us with tea and coffee on arrival and left us to watch a movie in the lounge that night. The dogs are friendly and adorable. We took a walk around the island the next day and went up an old gun battery which had a great view of the island. Would recommend!Cass And Gemma - United Kingdom (March, 2015)
Great location with views of Carrigafoyle Castle and the water even from our room. Wonderful walks around the area with good bird watching. Quiet place - except for thumping music going on until 10pm the one night we stayed. Minor issue with plumbing...toilet was slow fill. Hosts were friendly and helpful.Patsy & Tim - United States (November, 2014)
The Castle View House lies in a very picturesque location, where you can really feel the tides, climb an old castle tower, walk around an island. Still, these are Patricia and Garrett who make the stay absolutely extraordinary. We were welcomed with a tea with delicious raw milk!, which was later followed by a freshly prepared pie. Briefly, we really felt like home and definitely will come back!Anna & Grzegorz - Poland (September, 2014)
Chambre familiale un peu vieillotte et peu de pression dans la douche… Mais accueil chaleureux et petit déjeuné bon et copieux . L’endroit est très calme et superbe vue sur le château.Lionel Seraud - France (September, 2014)

As a female traveller on my own, I couldn't have felt more comfortable staying with Garrett & Patricia. They were always very helpful answering my many questions before I arrived, such as how to get there and how best to get around when I was there. I was able to rent a bicycle while I was there. Breakfast was delicious and hearty and they were able to accommodate my dietary needs. The room was clean and comfortable. The B&B is located on such a beautiful island and overlooks the ruins of an old medieval castle. Simple amazing!Carissa Engell - Canada (August, 2014)

Nos gustó lugar y la atención y hospitalidad de los dueños. El desayuno y la cena muy buenos. Lo único mejorable quizás la habitación, pero lo compensa con las vistas que tenía.Diego Y Amparo - Spain (August, 2013)

Very nice B&B, in a quiet piece of countryside. Superb view on a ruined castle from the room window. The owners are very sweet and welcoming and enjoy speaking of the place, the vegetable they grow, the turf harvested in the surroundings, and so on. Nice walks to make around. Easy to cross the Shannon after a night in the B&B.Daniel Roger - France (July, 2013)

The view driving up to the b and b was stunning and unique, with the Castle in the marshlands. Garrett and Patricia were just fantastic, coupling a warm and sincere welcome with a friendliness and humility I found so endearing. The food was great, the bed ensuring an uninterrupted night's sleep, and their whole manner made one feel more like a family member than a paying guest...I hope to return someday....Pat and Garret-you were a treasure to meet.Glen Woodall - United Kingdom (July, 2013)
Everything was great, the hosts were more than hospitable. Garret ran to the castle and unlocked it early for us and then was sure to come out to the car before we left and wished us each well, individually.Sue Williams - United States (June, 2013)
This was a wonderful spot, yes, in view of the Castleview. The room was fairly large and comfy; the bed comfortable as well. Plenty of space to store things if staying more than one night as we did. the home cooked dinner was delicious and I was able to bring a bottle of wine. Owners were very 'on the spot' in making sure that we were all comfortable. The castle was a nice surprise.Janet Calp - United States (September, 2012)

This was a surprise stay for us and the best stay of our 2 week holiday to Ireland. Garrett and Patricia were warm and welcoming. Food was outstanding. The view was beautiful and unique! We would love to stay there again on our next trip to Ireland.Greg & Laura Ashley - United States (September, 2012)
Lovely stay at Castle View. We were looking for a place off the main attractions and stumbled upon this lovely B&B. Fantastic hosts - extremely accommodating. We arrived late one evening and Garrett quickly cooked us up a real Irish home-cooked meal, made with fresh vegetables from his garden. One of the best meals we had in Ireland. Castle View is located directly across from Carrigafoyle Castle - what a great sight to wake up to. We loved seeing all the family photos in the dining and living rooms - really made us feel like we were in a true B&B. Our room was clean and perfect for what we needed, though we did find it just a bit chilly at first. It was wonderful to hear the cows outside before falling asleep. We truly felt like we were in Ireland with our stay at Castle View. Also close to the Shannon ferry for those traveling on to the Cliffs.Lauren Mullen - United States (August, 2012)
