Completely ripped off. After months of email communication with Katie, the owner, a group of us booked the four rooms for one night. Katie assured me that while the restaurant was usually closed, the bar & meals would be available. It was going to be the highlight of our trip. Having driven 6 HOURS from Dublin airport in pouring rain & fog along the Ring of Kerry, Katie tells me she had cancelled our booking! No notification or refund of the deposit paid. She was so rude & dismissive. She then offered us to rent a house and dine in her family owned restaurant in Waterville! I smelt a scam. Still no refund.

First I want to mention that we never had such a breathtaking view out of our room. The room itself was O.K.
Our room was in the lower part of the building, that was a little bit strange because the colour leaves the walls in big pieces and the corridors down here are a bit narrow and partially dark.
The staff was very friendly, the breakfast was disappointing.
There are big mouse- or rat traps round the house.
It is a wonderful house which deserves more care.

This inn is fabulous--for the incredible view, yes, but also the people who work here are so kind and generous. Sheila, a chef here who makes a wonderful carrot cake, saw we were late for a tour the operator had changed the time and she personally drove us down to the dock. When my friend was bitten by a dog along the Kerry Way watch out for the border collie that guards the big farm with cows, sheep, and chickens just before you reach Carherdaniel! one of the waitresses arranged for us to ride to Cork in a tour bus. They were just so helpful. Ireland is famous for its hospitality but these folks are above and beyond.

The room was very nice and had a magnificent view. We stayed there in September and the restaurant closed at 4pm. We were lucky to be there before since there is no reception and nobody to give you the key if you arrive later. Unfortunately, nobody informed us in advance. Thus, there were two guests arriving later who had trouble to check in. There was also no emergency number or contact details in case you need assistance after closure of the restaurant.

Positives - great views and nice food.
Negatives - sullen staff, old fashioned decor with a horrible smell in corridor outside bedrooms. No kettle or tea in room. Room dirty. Hairs in bed and bathroom. Stains on bedding. Desperately needs refurbishing. Such a shame as people would travel far for the spectacular views. Needs Alex polizzi to give the owners some advice.

Only that the Restaurant was closed on a friday evening was a pity

My experience with B&B is fairly limited, but this one easily fit all our expectations. Even after showing up an hour later due to road conditions, the lady who checked us in was still very gracious. The rooms were in good condition with small, but clean bathrooms. The view the following morning was amazing with a filling and tasty breakfast to match. If you do stay here, make sure you get directions ahead of time or do what we did and ask a local. Also make sure to take some time to go hiking. The area is lovely!

The room was very nice and clean. The view from the room was fantastic. However, I would have expected more from the breakfast, for it was not prepared with a lot of care, and the variety of available food was rather limited. The staff was friendly but seemed a little distressed.

Our stay at the Scariff Inn B&B was short but sweet. The reception staff was kind enough to wait for us on our long trip from Cliffs of Moher down to the inn. We didn't think it would take as long as it did, and we got there after dark, but they thankfully waited for us.
Otherwise, it was a great stay and met all of our needs.

We had a brilliant stay at your lovely B&B, the staff couldn't have done more to make us welcome, would highly recommend you to anyone. The views are beautiful, thank you. We will be back at some time in the future x

The view from the Inn is really super!!! . We can suggest to stop for lunch or at tea time, but not for the night. Rooms are very narrow and remember you have to go to sleep not later than 10:00 p.m. because at that time all other rooms at the Inn are closed down!!! And the price is not so cheap....

The room was clean but the bathroom was small with some problems but the view was wonderful.
Breakfast was ok even if smile should be provided...

Wow! One of the most memorable stays in Ireland The view was phenomenal and the people were so kind and friendly I absolutely could not have dreamed of a better place to stay in Kerry The dock for Skellig Michael is literally a walk down the road, and the Kerry way is at your doorstep You can walk to ring forts, Derrynane house and harbor, and see the best views in Ireland
