We stayed one night at Carmels' and we were absolutely satisfied. I wish we had stayed for longer! but we were on a round trip around Ireland Carmel welcomed us and showed us to our room. The whole place had a special atmosphere. The bedroom was modern and spacious for two. The breakfast was marvellous. Carmel's is our favorite b & b in Ireland. After 3 different stays there, it ranks as our first choice. Carmel is gracious and informative--very helpful. She makes a delicious breakfast and offers many choices. Very comfortable on- site parking. Première étape de notre visite à l'Irlande, l'accueil simple et chaleureux de Carmels nous a immédiatement concilié l'amitié de tous les irlandais. Le réveil avec vue sur la verdoyante campagne est doux et pourtant roboratif, sans doute l'effet de la densité de la couleur. L'intérieur de la maison, sobre, est aussi convivial et tranquille. Très bonne literie qui vous permet de passer une nuit complètement réparatrice, après les premières fatigues de la conduite automobile si déconcertante! Le petit déjeuner est copieux et le porridge préparé par Carmels, une délicieuse madeleine de Proust à déguster dans une salle à manger à l'atmosphère enveloppante. Lovely stay, very comfortable and pleasant home and rooms, gorgeous breakfast, and our twin bedroom had two bathrooms! Perfectly located for an exploration of the Wicklow mountains, Carmel's B&B is a charming place providing comfortable bedding and a great breakfast. For continental visitors, the rather noisily operating electrically controlled shower room at end of corridor can be a little surprising... What a lovely stay we had with Carmel. Unlike some places we stayed, it was easy to find as there was actually a sign on the main road in town directing our way. The accommodations were so nice and she was very pleasant. I feel I had just had a visit with my favorite aunt. I must recommend her pancakes, delicious. My husband, my 1-year-old daughter and I stayed at Carmels only for 1 night, but we wish we could have stayed more. The house is really clean and cozy, and the room was big and comfortable. They provided a cot for my daughter. The breakfast is delicious, and generous too! You even get to choose from a breakfast menu. There were different types of teas and coffees available at the living room at all times. Carmel was really friendly and nice. And although the house is not located in a town or urban area, for us the location was excellent - only 10 minutes drive to the amazing Glendalough National Park. Highly advisable!!
