The night we were to stay at the Copper Kettle there was a problem with the boiler so they set us up in a wonderful nearby hotel. They were apologetic and made sure we were comfortable at the hotel. They communicated with us as soon as they knew there was an issue.
We were disappointed not to be able to stay at the B&B but I'm sure it would have been wonderful. The hosts obviously care very much about their guests.

Honestly, we never ended up staying here. When we checked in at the nearby Fairview Guesthouse per the instructions sent upon booking, we were immediately told by the clerk at the desk that she would be doing us a "deed" by allowing us to stay at the Guesthouse hotel rather than the B&, though we would be charged an additional 5 Euro per person for the privilege. My guess is that if would have refused enough times, she would have just let us stay at the hotel without incurring the extra cost. It seems that they simply didn't want to have to maintain the B&B this was an off-season visit. Ultimately, of course, this was a classic bait-and-switch due to the up charge. Admittedly, we allowed it to happen, but it's probably not the best business practice. I will add, though, the the Fairview Guesthouse was very nice, and we did enjoy our stay.

The location was perfect. Just a block off the main drag with lots of shops, bars and restaurants. The room itself was nice and cozy. They advertise themselves as a bed and breakfast but breakfast is not included - it's an additional €10 per person per day. We didn't understand this when we booked so if we wanted breakfast at a bed and breakfast it was going to be €60 additional for the 2 days we where there. The other thing we did not like was not a lounge/dinning room or common area. There was a lounge/reception area down the street at the Fairview which owns this B&B but nothing at this location.

We ended up staying at the hotel next door which the receptionist offered at check in. It was great and the location couldn't be more perfect!

A very lovely place operated by a completely wonderful owner!
The breakfast is a special treat. Don't miss the extraordinary gardens--beautiful, meticulously tended, with plants from all over the world. It was a highlight of our trip.

Copper Kettle B&B was an unmitigated disaster.
I showed up to the Copper Kettle excited for my stay in Killarney only to discover that the B&B was difficult to access by car as it is off a very busy road. Once I arrived at the location I was informed. Y some other guests that I had to actually check in at a local hotel "down the street." After negotiating the busy street I finall arrived to the hotel where I would check in for my multiple night stay. Upon arrival I had to go find someone to assist me with my reservation and once I did find someone I wish I had not. They asked incredulously if I had a reservation at which time I produced my verification documents. These where snatched out of my hand and given a look of derision as if I was a bother and inconvenience for them to have to deal with. At this point they left the area with my documents for a substantial amount of time leaving me wondering what the hell was going on. When they returned they gave me some febal excuse about room I was assigned is having maintiance and no longer available but they had rebooked me into another place. They claimed they had attempted to call me about this change but my phone never showed a missed cal or voice mail. I can only assume they were playing with either over bookings or other shnanagans leaving the last tourist to show up that night out in the cold. Having driven to the copper kettle initially I was already suspicious of the location and VERY busy road with no car park remotely close do not let them fool you about how close the parking is. The place they arranged to accommodate us was even more suspicious. And they wanted me to pay their full price for all of this. So to sum up. Terrible area, terrible communication, terrible service, and terrible accommodation.

Booked the B&B a week before we were due to stay, recieved no notification that the booking was confirmed so I rang the B&B. Was told Sunday nights in January are particularly busy so I would have to pay extra...I refused and was given the quoted price...
On arrival I asked about breakfast and was told this was not included in the price. So the price I paid for a bed and BREAKFAST did not include breakfast...we were told it was 10euro extra per person. This is a disgrace in my opinion and we felt as if we they were trying to bleed every penny the could out of us.
Will not be staying here again and would advise to stay elsewhere in lovely Killarney

great B&B. Room is incredibly nice, clean, new. Bathroom terrific. I felt like in honeymoon. High quality.
two minutes into the city. Although it is on a bussy street there is no noise during the night.
I would recommend the Copper Kettle highly.

The room pictured above is quite lovely but the other rooms are not quite as lovely. And the room above is much more expensive than the others. The room we had was hard to move around in because there was too much furniture in the room. We dropped something and had to look under the beds. When we pulled the bed back, the floor was filthy dirty. Also there is no common room to gather in, you have to go down the block to the other guesthouse. Only the room pictured above would perhaps be a 4 star

We booked a standard twin room which was advertised as costing 30 Euros per person. We got an email that because it was a Saturday the rate would be 39,50. And after arrival we were told that also the breakfast was NOT included and this was costing us another 10 Euros pp. We booked a B&B!
The room was tiny and the words en-suite bathroom made me laugh when I saw it. We felt ripped off, the website is misleading and will never stay there again. Our host from the Fairview Guesthouse compared the owner to RyanAir, making a fortune by misleading people!

We actually booked the copper kettle but due to unforeseen circumstances someone had left a window open and the rain had got in we we asked to stay in the nearby hotel a related accommodation in the same street for the first of two nights for the same price. We accepted as it was un upgrade. As it was so lovely and the concierge Les was so thorough we spent both nights.
We loved our time in this and other parts of Eire.
The ring of Kerry was super spectacular!

Wonderful B&B! Walking distance to the city center very convenient. The breakfast was very well done. The host staff was very professional, friendly, and flexible. The staff made our visit relaxing and they were even able to book our tours for us. We will definitely be back.

We stayed only one night and it was fine a part from the fact that at our arrival we where asked which type of breakfast we wanted and that it was going to cost € 5 for continental or €10 for Irish breakfast. The request came to surprise because we booked a bed & breakfast and not just bed. they said we could have gone to their twin accomodation if we wanted a free breakfast..I feel that their website is misleading and they should specify that breakfast should be paid for..I have been to so many accomodation in ireland and this is first time something like that happen to me.

At 4.20pm our room was not ready for check in!!! We were told there is a problem with the bathroom and we simply have to wait 15 more minutes. In case the problem can not be fixed we will have to stay in a different place. This is three girls going to a wedding!!!After 20 minutes we were walked up the road to a tiny attic room for 3 costing us 42.00Euros each!!! No staff is present in the Copper Kettle, which are basically rooms without service! Staff /Check -in and breakfast can be found in a Hotel down the road from the "rooms"! Breakfast service slow and slightly chaotic with the additional bonus of a hair on one of the plates!!Would we stay there againNO!!!!!

Overall, we had a very good stay at the Copper Kettle B & B The bed was comfortable, the room spacious and the employees were very helpful Breakfast, served at the nearby Fairview Inn, was nothing short of fabulous
What is not advertised is that at the Copper Kettle all rooms are on the 2nd floor and no elevator A manager occupies all of the downstairs I probably would not have booked here, had I known this ahead of time - but didn't think to ask when making the booking
The management team was extremely helpful throughout our 3 night stay
The only real negative to our stay was that we had a couple of issues with the bathroom The main one is that during our stay, the hot water only the hot came out green You would not see it if just washing your hands, but fill the sink, or the tub, and it was a very distinct green color I did not let the management know about it until we were leaving but presume that this is not exclusive to Room 1, but likely impacted all guest rooms
As we were checking out, I told the manager about the green water, and he apologised and said that had he known earlier, he'd have moved us to the Fairview a more expensive place He presumed that the water company was "putting something in the water to purify it" But I don't think so - it wasn't happening with the cold water I wonder what the cause was
A smaller issue: the shower in room 1 is a steam shower, a very elegant idea but what happens is that because it's all sealed up, the shower never really airs or dries out - so it smells mildewy and there were signs of mold and mildew inside of it I think this is a design issue - or perhaps guests need to be asked to simply leave the door ajar when not in use for ventilation
Overall, a good stay with good management
