The Findus House is in the middle of Nowhere but lovely region. Next Pup with only Pizza best Pizza in Town is about 3 KM away in the next village. We've been there every evening as there is nothing in a circul around 10 KM where you can go out to Dinner. But very lovely people in the pub and so is Mary. She is so lovely - and every evening we talked, sat together, had delicious scounts and tea.Peter And Karen - Germany (August, 2018)
The location is really quite and beautiful and we had no problems to find it, because there are enough signs, which lead you to Findus House. The room was very clean and nice. The breakfast was very delicious, especially the homemade scones stay in our minds. The atmousphere is really pleasent and we had a nice evening together with Mary and other guests. Mary is very friendly and helped us anywhere. It was really nice for us to see, that the hole family is involved. We can fully recommend Findus House, we enjoyed our stay and would be glad to come back again. Thank you!Anett And Stefan - Austria (September, 2016)
We had a wonderful welcome on arrival and there was a very friendly atmosphere during our stay. The breakfast was outstanding and we would recommend this to anybody considering a stay in the area.Pat & Lyn - United Kingdom (June, 2016)
The rooms are very nice and the breakfasts are great especially the fruit-covered pancakes, but what makes Findus House special is the hosts, Michael and Mary. They are wonderful people who enjoy interacting with their guests. Michael loves to sing and evenings spent in the lounge with Michael, Mary and other guests were among the most enjoyable experiences of our visit to Ireland. Although a bit off the beaten track, signs leading to Findus House are plentiful. It is a farmhouse away from the city. Quiet and peaceful. Also a great location for people checking ancestry in the Cork area. If we ever go back to Ireland, we will make it a point to stay at Findus House again. Wonderful experience!Hugh And Jill - United States (October, 2015)
Mary and Michael are absolutely charming hosts. Home-made cakes are unforgettable. The B&B is situated in a magnificent site. One of my best wishes of our journey in Ireland.Michel - France (May, 2015)

Stumbled across this B & B by accident when it was getting close to find a place to stop for the day. We were 5 women from three generations and we all felt this place was perfect! Mary and Michael were the perfect hosts. Michael even sang us several songs over the course of the evening. He made my mom's entire trip! I'm so anxious to have my husband join me on an Irish adventure and we will most certainly stay at the Findus House!Marcia - United States (December, 2013)
Excellent owners that understand customer service. I was running a bit late and the owner waited until 11ish PM for me to arrive. The room itself was very comfortable and the breakfast was great as well. My only issue is the location is a bit out of the way. I knew it was far, but didn't realize that I would have to drive in a one-lane off-road to get there take that into account when planning.Ns - United States (September, 2013)
Very cute place and super quiet! Hostess was very friendly and a wonderful conversationalist. Only four stars on "location" because you may need a sherpa guide to find the place follow the small signs. It's worth the search!Malolm & Ida Doherty - United Kingdom (August, 2013)
A very warm welcome, followed up by a nice cup of tea and homemade scones, after a long day travelling, Super breakfast every morning, and we would say it was one of the best b&b we have stayed at, rooms were comfortable, and the peace and nature of the location was a holiday on its own. Will be back again.Malolm & Ida Doherty - United Kingdom (June, 2013)
Used the GPS to find the the Findus House and the GPS was not kind to me. Need to find the nearest city and then enter the coordinates which would have worked well. I turned on the GPS before reaching the town and took some roads that only a farm truck might travel. Findus has signs out to lead you to the property. It was quite comfortable and the hosts were helpful and cheerful.Hugo Kurtz - United States (September, 2012)
For our first B&B arriving in Ireland, it was a delightful, friendly, hospitable and welcoming stay! A typical farm house surrounded by nature. Wonderful home made scones and pancakes!!Mary Picerno - Italy (September, 2012)
My wife and I spent three nights at this marvelous B & B out in the middle of the green countryside. Our hosts Mary and Michael were very warm and hospitable. Warm scones every afternoon, and super breakfasts every morning. Mary served us "Irish coffee" with Bailey's our last night and we had Porridge with Bailey's and Cream our last morning. Michael sang us an unaccompanied ballad and we spent time together around the piano. The one day of pouring rain, we sat in the parlor and conservatory-like dining room and wrote cards, drank tea and ate scones. It was a highlight of our trip.Larry J Houff - United States (August, 2012)
