Unfortunately we were asked to leave Athlumney Manor and, therefore, can not submit a review that could not be regarded as unbiased. In our opinion we were asked to leave because we had asked when hot water would be available to have a shower and suggested that the bed base needed looking at because it was very creaky. The request to leave was made the morning after our arrival, a Sunday, and no assistance was offerred to obtain alternative accommodation despite us having a further 5 nights booked

We had very good experience here and excellent breakfast. We'd like to come back since it was our first night in Ireland and we were very tired and missed the first night when we could have checked out the town of Navan. Excellent host and hostess. Thank you. Don and Mary Helen Beran

Athlumney Manor Is fantastic! Our best B&B experience to date. A credit to Irish hospitality!
Wonderful service, great host and staff, beautiful surroundings, great breakfast, walking distance to everything … We couldn't have wanted more.
It costs slightly more than other B7Bs … But, after staying there, we believed it was worth every cent!

Lovely house and gardens.
A warm welcome from Pauline who made us tea and biscuits on arrival which was very kind. She also provided some excellent info. On the best restaurants in Navan.
Breakfast was delicious . We both had the scrambled egg and smoked salmon. Cooked to perfection.
Pat was great with lots of local history knowledge to impart.
The only drawback was our room, a little cramped and the bed not at all comfortable.
I'm sure that could be remedied.

Very clean, comfortable accommodation with friendly and hospitable atmosphere. One night stay only, but would be happy to call again. Would have no hesitation in recommending Athlumnmey Manor to friends and family who may be travelling in the area.

Lovely B+B. Spotlessly clean. Very cosy and warm. We were offered cup of tea and cake when we arrived which was welcome after a long journey. Hosts very hospitable and welcoming. Beds were comfortable. Shower was really good with a power unit and they use rainwater which is so soft. We ordered our breakfast from a substantial menu the night before and we got exactly what we ordered. Our daughter doesn't drink tea or coffee and our host made hot chocolate specially for her. Would definitely stay here again.
The only slightly negative I found was the reception on the tv. Picture kept breaking up and getting pixaleted. This happened on all channels. Didn't bother us as we were out most of the time, but If you had small children to amuse then it may be a problem

The lovely couple running this place make it so special. We had a great time. The rooms are well equipped and a good size. I would recommend it to others. Easy to find and safe parking behind gates.

The proprietors were wonderfully accommodating! We had an earlier than normal flight out of Dublin and Pat made sure we had a cooked breakfast to start our day! The room was clean and comfortable.

The location was close to town but very quiet. The bathroom was quite small but the bedroom was comfortable. Nice dining area though it was awkward that it was also had a couch. We were welcomed with a snack and a little gift because it was our anniversary...very thoughtful! Menus available for local restaurants...nice touch. Signs on the wall in the bedroom including a map made it feel more like a rural hotel in the States than a cozy B&B.

An excellent visit. Very happy with the lodgings. Proprietors experienced, knowledgable and helpful. Fresh homemade preserves at breakfast. 5 minutes walk from downtown. A good central location for all the attractions in the Boyne Valley Good advice on local amenities.

What a wonderful place to visit! Pat was so helpful and wonderfully welcoming! Athlumney Manor was a perfect place to start a trip! About a 30 minute drive from the airport on good roads, and close to Tara and Newgrange, it was certainly convienently located. However, it was Pat's helpfulness and warmth in making the start of our trip such a wonderful experience. The accommodations were perfect for our needs and certainly beyond what I had anticipated. Overall, I'd highly recommend Athlumney Manor to friends.
