This B&B is a must stay. From the comfy beds and beautiful rooms, to sumptuous breakfast. The whole place is spotlessly clean. And the location is great. Anne and Mags are two very friendly and welcoming people. We have stayed twice now and plan on returning soon.

Laois County Lodge is lovely! Clean, friendly and cozy, the perfect home away from home. The breakfast in the morning was superb, with the best home-made bread I've ever tried!

We stayed here twice, on our journey South west & back. Great hospitality, nice room, excellent breakfast. Anne was very friendly and helpful in finding a restaurant that catered for special diets, also sorting tolls out. It was very easy to find.

Very limited parking, room always clean and tidy, but water pressure obviously an issue. Disappointing that there was no guest lounge, but breakfasts were really good. This B&B is sited on the main road directly opposite the hospital, so ideal in that respect should you need somewhere close to stay.

We would highly recommend the County Lodge. The location was very good for the racing at Punchestown. Anne gave us a very warm welcome and provided excellent breakfasts. Great value for money.

We would highly recommend staying at Laois County Lodge. Anne is a lovely host and the breakfast was very good. She even went out of her way to pay the toll charge for us. We had trouble getting wifi connected to our iPad but Anne let us use her laptop.

We had a warm welcome upon arrival, the landlady was very helpful and accommodating. The room was very clean and tidy and there was ample parking at the back. The breakfast selection on offer included prepared fresh fruit, cereals and cooked. The B&B was easy to find and perfect for us as we were attending a horse competition in nearby Stradbally. I thoroughly recommend Laois County Lodge.

Although we only staid there one night, we found the owner extremely friendly and accommodating. The room exceeded our expectations and was real value for money as was the breakfast... probably one of the best that I have ever had.
The only disappointment was the fact that we could not stay longer.

Stayed at this B&B last Saturday night. I received a very warm welcome from Anne and was made to feel very at home. Room was very comfortable and the Breakfast the following morning was delicious, the best cooked breakfast I think I may ever have had, especially the mushrooms. Thank you so much Anne, it was a very brief stay, but I would highly recommend.

as a regular guest to this bnb i cannot understand the review from the guest from canada, client complaining about noise, the prison is so far down the road, i cant beleive they complain about noise from there, as for the hospital, once again i cannot beleive the complaint, i have never heard any noise problems from there, i have stayed in front rooms and back rooms no problem, all rooms double glazed, and anne is a wonderful host and gives a superb breakfast.all one has to do is to read her guest book reviews at reception, that says it all.

Very clean and comfortable. Excellent breakfast Anne tried very hard to make our stay pleasant. Our only concern was realizing the location was across from a hospital and a block from the prison! It tended to be somewhat noisy with a room facing the street.

The hostess was delightful and welcomed us. The house was very clean and beautiful. I would definitely stay there again when traveling through that area of Ireland.

I spent three weeks from the USA at the lodge when visitng a friend. Ann made me feel as if I were a guest in her home. Very comforable room, quiet, lovely decor with beautiful antiques about. The location was excellant. I was able to walk down town for meals or eat at a hotel near by. Also a mini market nearwhere one could get food or drink..Ann served a tasty, large breakfast made to order. She was such a delight going out of her way to be accommodating, helpful, and greeting one so cheerfully. My stay was beyond expectations.

I stayed for 2 nights last weekend at this lovely guesthouse and the welcome I received could not have been warmer! The room was very well appointed, toiletries provided etc and an abundance of tea and coffee. Anne was extremely helpful in providing me with directions to a nearby course, offering to call a taxi for me as I am hearing impaired. The breakfast in the morning was absolutely delicious and more than enough to satisfy even the largest appetite. All in all, a very pleasant stay. Thank you, Anne!
