What a beautiful place. Large room very comfortable on a little dairy farm. Just outside the town we drove into town to have dinner. Our host greeted us with her homemade warm apple pie and a cup of tea. Breakfast was a lovely Irish breakfast. Kaye was the only one of all the B&Bs we stayed in to email us beforehand to say that she can't take credit card which was very much appreciated. Little did we know that most of them only take cash.

Recently we spent 3 nights in Riverview House. We were very fortunate to find such a quiet, peaceful and lovely location. Kay our hostess was very pleasant and caring. Kay arrived every evening on our return with a tray of tea and coffee and homebaking. Delicious! The room was immaculate. It was well decorated and comfortable also. My husband and I stayed in Riverview last week and we really enjoyed our stay. Our room was comfortable, nicely decorated and spacious. Our breakfast was tasty and well prepared. We especially enjoyed the apple pie which we received on our arrival. We would happily recommend Riverview, it's location being close to the town and yet in the countryside, making it an ideal touring base for the South West.

We enjoyed a wonderful welcome from our host Kay Ronan. Apple tart every day. Room was tidy overlooking the front of the farm with a nice view of the River Ilen and it's bridge.
Just check when you like your shower morning or evening & let Kay know otherwise you end up with a cold shower, as I did on the first evening. Breakfast delicious. TV is limited choice of channels but wifi is included.
To be recommended.

The Riverview House B&B is a good B&B near Skibbereen.
Kay is very nice and caring, the breakfast was very good cereals, yoghurt, orange juice, coffee, tea, milk, bread, cooked breakfast. Restaurants are about 1km / 10min walk away.
When coming back to Skibbereen, we'll stay in Riverview House B&B again!
Germany (June, 2015)
We arrived in Skibbereen tired and hungry after a long journey from Dublin Airport. Once we reached Riverview House, Kay made us so welcome and comfortable and brought us a tray of home made baking and tea and coffee to our room. After a great night sleep and hearty breakfast we were ready to explore the southwest of Ireland. We will never forget our marvellous first night in Ireland.

The B&B is in a very pleasant location and very easy to find.
The service offered by the really nice and extrovert lady was excellent, just like the quality of our full Irish breakfast. We enjoyed our stay so much and was really sad leaving this fabolous B&B after just one night. Hope to have the chance to come back soon!

It has been almost 10 years since my husband and I landed there, with a flip of a coin. And I still have the fondest memories. I am on this website, tonight, because I was chatting with a friend, reminising about my wonderful stay there. I still have a picture of myself and Kay, tacked to my bulletin board. The reason for that is, my name is Kate Ronan. No relation, that we know of, just a small island, in a small world. All the best to a find business woman!

A stay in Skibbereen would not be complete without at stay at the Riverview B&B! Kay Ronan is one of the kindest, most delightful women I have ever met, and was so accommodating. She brought us apple pie when we arrived apples from her own trees -- organic, as is everything else she grows. Our stay was so peaceful.

What a wonderful bed and breakfast! We visit Ireland frequently as we love the countryside and Riverview House is the best b&b we have come across. The price was excellent at €25 each for a room ensuite. Kay was so pleasant and helpful and we really appreciated the extra effort she went to make our stay so enjoyable. We will be back again on our next visit to Ireland.

Last Sunday night, the 30th of March, my husband and I stayed at Riverview House. I would highly recommend this bed and breakfast. On arrival we were greeted by the friendly hostess Kay. She showed us to our charming room which had a stunning view of the river. Kay spent time chatting to us; informing us of the attractions in the local area and telling us about her farm. As we were settling in for the night Kay arrived at our door with a plate of freshly baked delicious muffins. After a restful night and a great sleep we enjoyed a hearty Irish breakfast with homemade soda bread, fresh fruit and eggs from Kay’s farm. We can’t wait for our return visit.

I stayed just one night with two friends. The accommodation was acceptable. The owner was extremelly friendly and provided our "healthy" breakfast just as we had asked. The coffee was delicious! She also gave us precious advice on where to go in the area.
We just did'nt like to see the cows making their way just below our room window. Apart from thet, the location is fine, very close to Skibbereen and in the way to Baltimore

My wife, 12 year old daughter and I spent 2 very pleasant nights in Riverview house last weekend and would highly recommend it as a beautifully located and welcoming place to stay in west Cork. Kay, our hostess couldn't do enough to make our stay comfortable and went above and beyond the call of duty to accommodate us.The food served was of the highest standard and served in a homely setting. You will really enjoy your stay at Riverview in Skibbereen.

My husband and I stayed in Riverview House last Saturday night and we would like to share our pleasant experience in Riverview.
On our arrival we were warmly greeted by the welcoming hostess Kay who shared some home made scones and a pot of tea with us.
Our spacious room had an enchanting view of the Ilen River.
Kay's husband Con gave us a tour of the farm and we even got to help feed the new born calves.
Kay's full Irish breakfast was the best I ever tasted.
Our only regret was we were only there for one night but we certainly plan to return in the future.
